When José contacted us from Argentina, he had one clear dream in mind.
He wanted to surprise Fiorella during their vacation in the Dominican Republic with an intimate, emotional and completely unexpected marriage proposal.
He wasn't looking for a crowded restaurant or a busy tourist beach.
He imagined a quiet Caribbean setting where the only sound would be the gentle waves and where they could enjoy one of the most important moments of their lives completely on their own.

A few days before the session, Magda personally visited the location to make sure the beach was empty and that the light would be perfect when José finally asked the most important question of his life.

Why did José choose Bayahibe for his proposal?

On the day of the session, we picked José and Fiorella up directly from the Airbnb where they were staying during their vacation.
From the very beginning, everything looked exactly like a regular couple's photo shoot.
While Fiorella enjoyed every moment without suspecting a thing, José could barely hide his nerves.
Every smile brought him one step closer to asking the most important question of his life.
We talked.
We walked along the beach.

After exploring several beautiful spots along the beach, we finally arrived at the location we had carefully chosen during our scouting visit.
Everything looked exactly as we had imagined.
The beach was still completely empty.
Gentle waves quietly reached the shoreline.

For just a brief second, he looked toward us.
That was the signal.
While Fiorella continued enjoying what she believed was simply another photograph, José slowly knelt behind her and opened the small ring box he had been carrying throughout the session.

Before finishing the session, we made one last stop in the charming fishing village of Bayahibe.

The calm Caribbean Sea reflects the afternoon light.
And the relaxed local lifestyle creates a unique backdrop that perfectly complements a romantic engagement session.
It was the ideal place to end the day.
Surrounded by traditional Dominican boats, José and Fiorella laughed, embraced and enjoyed a few final moments together before heading back.
